Venus takes about 225 Earth days to go around the Sun. It takes roughly 243 days to turn once compared with distant stars.
That makes a year on Venus shorter than one full spin. But it does not mean waiting 243 days between sunrises. As Venus travels around the Sun, the Sun's position in its sky changes too. Both movements affect when the next sunrise happens.
