A teacher promises a surprise quiz next week. A student reasons it can't be Friday: if none comes by Thursday, a Friday quiz would be expected.
Then Thursday is the last possible day, so the same logic rules it out, and so on back to Monday.
Sure there's no quiz, the student relaxes. Wednesday's quiz is a total surprise.
