In E. B. White's novel Charlotte's Web, a pig named Wilbur is being raised for meat. Charlotte, a barn spider, figures the farmer won't kill a famous pig.
So she weaves praise like "Some Pig" into her web, and crowds come to see him.
Wilbur wins a prize at the county fair, and the farmer decides to keep him.
