Meaning can come from someone who needs you

Imagine sitting with someone who is grieving. You cannot remove their pain, but keeping them company can matter.

This illustrates an idea from Viktor Frankl, a doctor who treated mental illness. He survived a concentration camp. He believed meaning could come from work, love or how we face suffering we cannot avoid.

This is an invented example. This does not claim that meaning cures suffering or decides who survives.
