A bird built its nest with cable used to control war drones

A nest found near Chorne, Ukraine, was partly woven from fibre-optic cable. These thin strands carry signals that control some battlefield drones.

The serviceman who found it during combat missions donated it to Kyiv’s War Museum. The museum documented the nest in June 2026.

Cable used for a war machine had become something a bird used to build its home.
