Birds are building nests out of drone cable

On Ukraine's front line, birds have started weaving abandoned fiber-optic drone cable into their nests.

The cable exists because it makes a drone impossible to jam: instead of a radio link, the drone unspools a thin glass thread that can run for twenty kilometers.

One of these nests, found near Chorne in the Kharkiv region, is now in the Kyiv War Museum. The border guard who found it, Mykhailo Mlechko, said he realised the object had value, so he decided to preserve it.

So this is what a nest is made of now.
