The man in the Bible’s first book whose story skips “and then he died”

Chapter 5 of Genesis, the Bible’s first book, lists the generations from Adam, the first man in its story, to Noah. Almost every entry ends the same way: the man lived so many years, “and then he died.”

Enoch’s entry is different. After 365 years, the text says he “walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.”

It never says he died.
