JAT Flight 367 broke apart at 33,000 feet over Czechoslovakia on 26 January 1972, and one flight attendant came down inside the wreckage.
Vesna Vulović rode the fuselage all the way, pinned by a food trolley.
A logger, Bruno Honke, found her in the trees and called rescuers. Guinness World Records lists the fall at 10,160 metres. No parachute. No seat.
She lived because the wreck slowed her fall and snow softened the landing. The trap that held her was the shell that saved her.
