In the Book of Daniel, part of the Bible, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, boasts about the great city he built. At once, the story says, a voice from heaven takes his kingdom away.
He loses his mind and lives like an animal, eating grass like cattle, until he finally looks up to heaven.
Then his sanity returns. He praises God, and his kingdom is restored.
